Before becoming a solicitor, Graham obtained an upper second university degree in German and Economics. After leaving university the first time, he then worked with a leading German Investment Bank in the City of London for several years, gaining valuable commercial experience.
Graham subsequently took his law degree and diploma in legal practice at Glasgow University and thereafter trained with one of Scotland’s leading law firms, Shepherd and Wedderburn. He has now worked in litigation for over 27 years.
Graham’s specialism is commercial and business disputes along with property law. He still conducts high value family disputes, particularly those with a commercial bias.
Graham has successfully carried out litigation in virtually every court and tribunal in Scotland, including many cases in the Court of Session and sheriff court. He has conducted successfully a public enquiry along with cases in the Land Court and Lands Tribunal. He successfully defended a high value copyright case against Counsel, in a six day court case in Perth. During lockdown he successfully conducted a construction arbitration for a client.
Graham is a tenacious litigator, but with a very strong commercial awareness. He recognises the importance of results and understands the budgetary requirements of clients very clearly.
Graham, to add to his vast range of knowledge, is currently undertaking a Masters degree in construction law.
